Dubai received more than 5.5 million tourists in the first half of this year, an 11.1 per cent increase compared to last year, according to the latest figures from Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). Here we highlight the most extravagant attractions that are enticing tourists.


Burj Khalifa :- The world’s tallest building is a sight to behold, standing 828 meters from the ground with over 160 floors offering spectacular views over Dubai from the top. Indoor ski park :- Middle East's first indoor ski resort in Dubai is an amazing 22,500 square metres covered with real snow all year round where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing or just playing with the newest residents, the snow Penguins!
The world’s tallest hotel :- The luxurious JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Crowned with 1,608-rooms is more than 100ft higher than the Eiffel Tower. It is so tall that on a foggy morning guests on its upper floors wake up above the clouds, with the tops of nearby skyscrapers poking through like precious jewels laid out on cotton wool.
The Dubai Mall :- The world’s most visited and largest shopping and entertainment complex had more visitors last year than New York City. Apart from its 1,200-plus retail stores, other major attractions include its Aquarium, an underwater zoo and an ice skating rink.

The Hydropolis - Underwater hotel, Dubai’s Water Discus Hotel will allow guests to sleep below the surface of the sea, offering a view of underwater life and facilities will include a bar and a dive centre. The city also revealed plans for an even bigger retail complex than the Dubai Mall, The Mall of the World, that would be capable of welcoming up to 80 million visitors a year. The Taj Arabia – a £665 million reproduction of the Taj Mahal hat will not only be four times bigger than the 17th century original but contain a shopping centre, a 300-room five-star hotel, serviced apartments and bridal wear stores.
